AFOODS Group operates in an industry that is completely dominated and carefully protected by European and white-owned companies.

In the cocoa and coffee sectors in particular, many large European companies or start-ups use the poverty of farmers in Africa as a marketing strategy for their products. At the same time, they pretend that producing in Africa is a noble gesture or is based on a conscious decision. In fact, they mislead the consumers by hiding the fact that they have no choice but to manufacture in Africa: Cocoa does not grow in Europe, so the juice of the cacao fruit, for example, has to be extracted locally.

AFOODS Group dissociates itself from any such practices. und highlights that African or Black-owned innovations, especially in the cocoa sector, also have their place on the global market and can be discovered and enjoyed by consumers.

AFOODS Group also wants to inspire other Africans by creating and commercialising African innovations and showcasing African know-how. We want to inspire and encourage them to become active in sectors that are perceived to be open only to European and white-owned companies. This is particularly important in view of the fact that the core of this industry is African raw materials, which are grown by us Africans and black people.
